The Answer - Nutrient Supplementation

The answer is the consumption of ADDITIONAL nutrients.

Whether you get nutrients through vitamin rich foods (better organic) or supplemental vitamins - it is important to note that :

Nutrients depend on each other:

As the paradigm is shifting away from the use of man made chemical medications (with negative side effects) to a natural approach - the use of vitamins and supplements has burgeoned in the market place. Do your research, ask your health professional or contact us for high quality vitamin/mineral formulas suggestions. Vitamins and supplements are only effective if they are formulated as nature intended. For instance copper and zinc should be balanced in a 10-1 ratio in favor of zinc - for zinc to work properly.

Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus should be in perfect proportion along with vitamin D to allow for uptake. It has been shown that a broad spectrum of deficiencies result in the symptoms of mental illness, not a deficiency of one

single nutrient.

Children and yourg adults are the most vulnerable since the nutrients are being diverted from he brain to aid in their demanding growth for the maturing body.

It is also important to remember that in addition to our diets bring nutritionally void - we are also being bombarded by toxins around us that degrade the paltry amount of nutrients that we do ingest, Supplementation is key.

The Youth Diet and Magnesium

Common substances — such as sugar and caffeine — deplete the body's magnesium levels. Since the teenager/young adult tends to have a diet of coffee, soft drinks, sport drinks, yogurts, ice cream. sweet cakes and candy, their magnesium levels are particularly challenged.

Magnesium

The Elderly and Magnesium

The body’s ability to absorb magnesium declines with age, so in addition to a poor diet and the over consumption of pharmaceutical drugs (which deplete magnesium) the elderly are also at a risk of low magnesium levels.Magnesium is easily and safely supplemented - as an excess (like Vitamin C) is just excreted from the body.
